|   | This series of photos were taken at Army 2002, a live fire exercise and display which took place at Larkhill, on Salisbury Plain in July 2002. An impressive display, with lots of static displays as well. I've written up fuller reports which will appear in Military Modelling Magazine, but here are just a few photos from the day, and following an enquiry from a couple of people, I included the shots I took of the Fox NBC vehicle in British Army service. |

AS90, one of 12 involved in the display, leaving the arena at the end of the display. You can still see MLRS in the background. |

Part of the firing line during the live fire display at Army 2002. The complete gun line involved 12x AS90s, 6x 105mm Light guns, 3x Challenger 2, 2x MLRS, 6x Schimitars, 6x FV432 81mm mortars, and 2x HVM SAMs. |

On the ground, the Army displayed one of their new WAH64D Apache helicopters. Another one flew as well. Although drill examples, the ordnance it can carry laid out in front is both impressive and frightening, depending on your point of view. |

MLRS firing. Difficult to photograph at the right moment, but the heat/smoke trail is clear. |

I've not captioned them all, as they explain themselves, but the next series of shots all show the British Army Fox NBC vehicle. We received 12 from Germany at the time of the Gulf war. Essentially the German Fuchs APC, it is the rear of the hull which shows the detail of the NBC version. |
