SMALL SCALE SCENE
Model Photo Gallery

Updated 3/3/2002 This is a new page, added in February 2002, with some photos of a few models within my collection. I'm not entirely certain how I might develop this page as yet, but have started by putting on just a few recent models.

One possibility is if anyone asks for a picture of some specific model, then if I have it, I'll add a picture.

The base some are on is one I built "for the fun of it", using real stone on the buildings, and really just to use as a backdrop for model photos.

Hope you like them

Robin

   Cromwell Models 'Combat Ready' 1/76

The Bedford OY 3 tonner. There are just 2 parts to this model. The truck as a whole, plus just one piece to fit underneath that gives the steps to the cab doors.

  Revell Bradley 1/72

It's in an unpainted state here, and made straight from the box, but this is the new Bradley, released by Revell in 2002.

  Art-Toys German Heavy Trailer 1/72

A big trailer, made from a polyurethene resin kit, same as the one from Wespe Models. The green mottle camouflage is done in Carrs weathering powders, not an airbrush.

  ZV Models Einheits Diesel 1/72

One of the surprises in 2001, a superb injection moulded kit. Main paint finish here in Humbrol enamels, but the red-brown camouflage and black shading done with Carrs weathering powders.

  Milicast Firefly

This is the Miicast Firefly, with counter shading on the barrel which I think shows how effective this can be from this shot. The transfers are from a Polish set which came with an accompanying book.

  Ace Models BMP 1Ksh

In its command vehicle form, this is the Ace models kit made up. I'm quite pleased with the end result, as these limited run injection moulded kits take a little more modelling experience (and patience) than some. I'll happily work on others now. (their BMP2D is under way, along with the 2S1 and MT-LB)

  MMS T34/85 in 1/76

Lovely model, in metal, and with added transfers from my spares box in this case, off an old Fujimi kit. I understand that there is actually an error within the cyrillic script, but too late to alter now, and I'll just have to live with pretending I don't know any better!

  MMS Sdkfz 10 in 1/76

I've always liked the low slung look of the Sdkfz 10, and this metal model from MMS captures the look and feel of it just right for me.

  T34 ARV in 1/76

This is a conversion from Matador Models, combining their resin parts with the hull from an Airfix T34. Easy to do, and an interesting looking end result.

  T26 Bridgelayer

This is primarily a wargamers model, from Shell Hole Scenics here in the UK. I think it makes up well, but you judge for yourselves.

  Combat Ready Staghounds 1/76

Here are just 2 out of the 3 actually provided in the pack of stowed Staghounds by Cromwell Models. Each car is just 4 parts: the complete hull, turret, gun barrel and hatch. Markings come from Fingerprint Designs.

  'Combat Ready' Tiger 1

More from Cromwell's wargamers range, complete with fine zimmerit and damaged track guards. It's a beauty.

  Minitanks Panzerhaubitze 2000 in 1/87

I really like this one, seen here in unpainted form, but with the accessory parts added. A big beast, even in this smaller scale.

  Roden JS III in 1/72

The first injection moulded AFV kit from Roden, and it makes up well into the JS III, a great improvement over the original old Airfix one I have to say.
