Model AFV Manufacturers Contact ListFurther to Small Scale Scene itself, my column in Military Modelling, in here you will find the names and addresses of all the Model AFV Manufacturers of which I am aware, and of which I have seen examples of their products. I will list them in alphabetical order, with addresses, and what scales they produce kits/accessories in. The
list is what I describe as a "live" document and I update it as new
information becomes available and I have the time to add it. It's never
"complete" even as it is but will continue to grow. Last Updated, 19th October, 2008 |

Metal cast models with some very interesting subjects on their lists. Especially so for early war French and British equipment. I only have a couple of examples, and while basic shape and dimensions are OK, the quality of the castings does leave some room for improvement. Don’t expect them to be as good as the likes of MMS, SHQ or Skytrex, but nevertheless they offer some unique subjects and once made and painted they will look OK on a gaming table. |

Newly released in the spring of 2008, this range has started with 6 sets of metal cast figures, all for the WW1 period. The figures are beautifully made, and the casting is equally good. I understand the sculpting is by Tony Boustead, whose work many of you will be familiar with. So far there are gunners, railway engineers and sappers to keep you going, with the sets varying between 2 and 4 figures in each. |

Amidst a large range of enamel paints are a new series added in 2004 for Armour modellers. WEM are best known for their ship models and etched brass sets, but their range of enamel paints, sold in tinlets (just like Humbrol) have some great colours. For example, other than many German WW2 colours, how about British Sand for GW2, or Australian Olive Drab, US Tan and Israeli Tan. Well worth trying. |
